Founded by Mr. C. Paulraj Nadar in 1982, Annai Jewellers began as a small fruit juice shop in front of the Centenary Municipality building in Thoothukudi. His entrepreneurial journey led him to invest in gold loan (pawn broking) services, gaining popularity among locals. In 1991, with the support of his sons—Mr. P. Vinayagamoorthy, Mr. P. Muruganatham, and Mr. P. Selvaraj—the family ventured into the jewellery business, establishing Annai Jewellers. They were pioneers in introducing Hallmark certification for both gold and silver jewellery in Tamil Nadu, setting new standards for purity and trust.
Over the years, the brand has expanded its presence with multiple showrooms and savings centres across southern Tamil Nadu, including in cities like Kovilpatti, Rajapalayam, and Chennai.
