Shri Andal Alagar College of Engineering

Established in 2001 by the Shri Andal Alagar Educational Trust under the vision of Tamil Nadu actor‑politician Thiru Puratchi Kalaignar Vijayakanth in loving memory of his parents, SAACE is a private, AICTE‑approved, NBA‑accredited engineering institution. Affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, the campus spans approximately 25–75 acres on NH‑45 at Mamandur near Chengalpattu, surrounded by verdant greenery.
The college operates with a belief rooted in its motto: “Learning Is Limitless”, and is guided by the core mission “To provide technical education to the poor and downtrodden at an affordable cost”.

Its academic offerings include 7 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate engineering programs across disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Biotechnology. SAACE prides itself on its well‑rounded infrastructure with modern classrooms, air‑conditioned laboratories, dedicated lecture and lab blocks, plus a sports complex, indoor gymnasium, well‑stocked library, separate hostels and mess facilities for men and women, healthcare services, and extensive transport covering surrounding areas.

The faculty is a blend of committed professors and skilled technical staff, supported by active Industry‑Institute collaboration initiatives like guest lectures, industrial visits, and a robust T&P (Training & Placement) cell that fosters professional readiness from the first year onward.Today, SAACE serves over 2,100 students (approx. 1,654 men, 474 women) with around 109 teaching staff, maintaining a student‑to‑faculty ratio conducive to personalized learning.
