Chengalpattu Medical College was established in 1965 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, evolving from a District Headquarters Hospital into a distinguished medical teaching institution. Situated in the Highgrounds area of Chengalpattu, approximately 54 km southwest of Chennai, the college spans a sprawling 240-acre campus.
